School Admissions

Applications for transfer to Notre Dame Catholic College outside the usual transition stages e.g Year 6 in to Year 7 and Year 11 into Year 12 received from the Local Authority (Liverpool) will be considered according to the current Admission Policy criteria by the Admissions Committee.

Where year groups are full pupils will be placed on a waiting list. Please be aware that the waiting list is worked as an unnumbered pool and will be ranked according to the Admission criteria as places become available (as shown in the Admissions Policy)

How long will we have to wait for a decision to be made following our request for an in year transfer?

Under the School Admissions Code schools may request background reports on a child’s attendance, attainment and behaviour from their current or previous school. This means that the minimum processing time for an application is 20 school days. Transfer requests during the school holidays are not processed due to schools being closed. Please bear this in mind before you call for an update on your application status
