Moral Issues LogoOn Monday 3rd July Year 12 students had a moral issues morning delivered by the charity, LIFE. Liz Parsons and Claire Plasom-Scott invited the students to explore what it means to be human and then to discuss the various human rights that we are entitled to and where they originated from.  Students debated the arguments for and against abortion and considered the way disability, generally, is viewed by society.  This led to a very interesting and informative exchange on reproductive technologies, the science behind the technologies and the ethics involved.

Students were thoroughly engaged and many felt that their perspective had changed on certain moral issues that they had not considered deeply enough before.

At Notre Dame we believe that the more informed our students are, the better decision makers they ultimately become.
