Year Group Noticeboards

Year 7

Welcome Year 7 to your Notre Dame Noticeboard. You will see below some useful information specifically for your year group.

Please be advised this section is updated termly for students and Parents/Guardians. Key updates for Parents/Guardians will mainly be shared via our communication apps (ParentApp and Class Charts), our social media pages and our weekly School  Newsletter.

What you need to know in Year 7

Key information:

  • Please arrive at school for an 8.45am start.
  • Please arrive via our Student Entrance on Anderson Street.
  • Year 7 Head of Year is Miss Wishart and Assistant Head of Year is Mrs Garvey.
  • Students will need to bring a school bag (big enough to hold an A4 document) and stationery including pens, pencils, ruler, eraser, sharpener and colouring pencils. Year 7 students will also have a journal which they must bring to school each day. Students can use their journal to record their timetable, make notes and check up useful information.
  • We communicate to Parents via Parent App and Class Charts. Parent App is used to send whole school messages and updates. Class Charts is used to update Parents about their child, including how they are performing, their attendance records, their positive behaviours and any causes for concern. If you do not have access to either communication app, please contact the school office on 0151 330 5122.
  • Students use Class Charts to receive homework and to monitor messages from their subject teachers/school staff.
  • Mobile phones and wearable devices including earphones, are not permitted during the school day. If a student is seen with a device inside the school building, it will be confiscated. Students will be required to collect their device from student services at 3.15pm.
  • We operate a cashless system in school and all payments must be paid via Parent Pay. This is a website which allows Parents/Carers to load monies on to their child’s account which can then be used to pay for items in school or for school-related activities/events. This includes paying for school meals, school trips and events such as Prom. Letters have been sent home to Parents/Carers containing your log in details. If you have not received this information, please contact the main school office on 0151 330 5122.

  • Year 11 Head of Year is Mrs Crosslind and Assistant Head of Year is Miss Styles.
  • Year 11 students will be expected to attend revision sessions in school/afterschool to support their learning as they prepare for their exams this year.
  • Students will need to bring a school bag (big enough to hold an A4 document) and stationery including pens, pencils, ruler, eraser, sharpener and colouring pencils.
  • We communicate to Parents via Parent App and Class Charts. Parent App is used to send whole school messages and updates. Class Charts is used to update Parents about their child, including how they are performing, their attendance records, their positive behaviours and any causes for concern.
